Buddy Johns
Buddy Johns, President of CGL Capital Solutions, LLC has more than 20 years of experience in the construction and development industries. He has developed, built and managed more than 5 million square feet of industrial properties including Class A flex, heavy industrial and correctional properties. He has six years of public accounting experience with Deloitte & Touche and is a Certified Public Accountant.
In his most recent position as Managing Director of Project Development for Corrections Corporation of America, Mr. Johns was responsible for the development of more than 13,000 new beds. He was directly responsible for the development and construction of the 3,240 bed La Palma Correctional Center that was designed and built in less than 12 months including a phased delivery that began less than 8 months after construction.
Mr. Johns was also responsible for all land acquisition for CCA. He understands the complexities of siting correctional facilities and is skilled in gaining community acceptance while managing the entitlement and infrastructure development process.
He is a member of American Correctional Association, International Corrections and Prisons Association, National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, Urban Land Institute, and the Industrial Asset Management Council and an Editorial Board member of Correctional News magazine.
